Gas Strut with Exceptional Stability
Most gas struts consist of a tube filled with pressurized nitrogen gas, a piston, and rod. The Atlas Lift strut, however, has a dynamic damping groove inside the tube that regulates gas movement across the piston. This ensures your trunk lid stays open when you want it open and shuts slowly without bouncing or slamming. Lastly, in contrast to struts that only have gas in the chamber, a few drops of oil have been mixed in to help seal the piston and lubricate the rod. This allows your trunk lid to move more smoothly as the rod travels in and out of the tube.

Now, this has been designed to fit those various years of your Audi A4, A6, and S4, whether it's your convertible, the sedan, or wagon. So obviously, this is a replacement gas strut for your trunk lid. So if your trunk isn't staying open anymore or if it feels weak, this is going to fix that issue. What it does is pretty simple. This is going to help lift your trunk smoothly and then it's gonna hold it open for you.
When you close it, it's going to control the movement so it doesn't slam shut. This is designed to operate smoothly in any temperature, and there's a built-in dampening system inside that's going to prevent that annoying bouncing that you sometimes get. This also has an internal wiper that's gonna keep the rod lubricated, so it's going to move freely without sticking over time. Installation's gonna be really easy. No tools are gonna be needed.
This is just gonna snap right into, or onto rather, your vehicle's existing mounting points using the ball socket connections. As far as durability, this is made with a black powder coated steel tube and a treated rod, so it's gonna resist rust and it's gonna hold up well over time.
